We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The RN will perform health assessments, administer medications and treatments, implement physician orders, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, person-centered care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering quality healthcare while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Monitor, assess, and document changes in health status, illnesses, injuries, and medication side effects.
Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, nebulizer treatments, and other prescribed therapies accurately.
Implement and accurately transcribe physician orders while maintaining electronic health records.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, oxygen administration, and oral suctioning as needed.
Report and document incidents, injuries, illnesses, and allegations of abuse in accordance with organizational policies.
Complete quarterly physical assessments and ongoing nursing evaluations.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, medication administration standards, and patient safety guidelines.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, individuals served, and caregivers to coordinate care.
Train and support direct care staff and medication aides while maintaining required certifications and completing mandatory training.
Maintain accurate documentation and complete all required reports in a timely manner.
Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Iowa.
Ability to pass a Level 3 background check as a condition of employment.
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain/maintain as required).
Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, and provide coverage as needed.
