Required Education: -Associate’s degree. -Certificate of completion in respiratory care from a respiratory care program. -According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing. Preferred Education: -Bachelor’s degree. Required Certifications & Licensure: -Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). -A valid license to practice respiratory care in the state of Pennsylvania. -BLS. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. -Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification within 2 years of date of placement into position.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• A valid license to practice respiratory care in the state of Pennsylvania.
• BLS
• Registered Respiratory Therapist-Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred within 24 months from start date
• PALS preferred
• NRP preferred
• ACLS preferred
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Associate’s degree with a certificate of completion in respiratory care from a respiratory care program.
Required Education: Technical diploma from a Respiratory Care program
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of respiratory care experience.
