Responsibilities
Provide high-quality respiratory care assessments and treatments to patients on-site.
Administer prescribed therapies (nebulizers, oxygen, ventilator support) and monitor patient response.
Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcome metrics in electronic health records.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to pipeline-led territory targets within the facility.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies for respiratory care.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to adjust care plans based on telemetry and clinical findings.
Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, self-management, and safety precautions.
Maintain and calibrate respiratory care equipment per manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
Participate in on-site training and professional development to advance clinical competencies.
Assist in discharge planning by coordinating post-acute respiratory care and referrals.
Experience/Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist license valid in California.
Provide on-site respiratory care assessments and treatments per physician orders.
Administer therapies (nebulizers, oxygen, vents) and monitor patient response.
Accurate documentation of progress, plans, and outcomes in electronic health records.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
Maintain and calibrate equipment per manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Track KPIs and contribute to facility pipeline and territory targets.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to adjust care based on telemetry.
Educate patients and families on therapies, self-management, and safety.
Identify workflow improvement opportunities to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
Participate in on-site training and ongoing professional development.
Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-acute respiratory care referrals.
