    Description

    Job Summary

    Administer ionizing radiation to the patient (inclusive of adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations) in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist and under the general supervision of the Chief Therapist. Works closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver precise treatments and provide patient-centered care.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Required
      • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
      • Associate’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Biology, or science technologies
      • Completion of a Radiation Therapy program approved by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • Preferred
      • Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Biology, or science technologies

    Experience:

    • Preferred
      • Two years of experience in Radiation Oncology or related

    Certification/Licensure:

    • Required
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
        • Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
      • Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) License from the State of Texas
      • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) Certification in Radiation Therapy
