Registered Respiratory Therapist

A Registered Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available in Miami, FL at a 417-bed acute care facility that serves as a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center (certified by the Florida Department of Health and verified by the American College of Surgeons), a Joint Commission–certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, and one of five American Burn Association–verified Burn Centers in the state.

The role. As a core member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs and documents patient assessments — including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure — and conducts diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy. The role involves administering oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy, as well as assisting with placement of artificial airways and initiating, monitoring, and maintaining mechanical ventilation. The therapist monitors patients for therapeutic response, notifies providers, and intervenes as appropriate when unintended responses occur. Additional responsibilities include assisting with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and responding to emergent situations to ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.

What we're looking for.

• Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, mixed schedule with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $30.34 - $41.50/hr plus Sign-on bonus available
