How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Patient Evaluation and Care: Provide comprehensive evaluation and care for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies.
  • Implementation and Monitoring: Implement and continuously monitor the patient care plan and associated respiratory equipment.
  • Documentation and Communication: Monitor, accurately record, and effectively communicate changes in the patient's condition to the care team.
  • Quality and Outcomes: Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness based on patient outcomes.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
    Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and
    Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for
    Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of
    Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board
    for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Critical Care credentialed from the National Board for
    Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
