What You'll Do
As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide expert respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents across a variety of inpatient settings. You'll play a vital role in assessing patients, managing complex therapies, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients
- Managing mechanical ventilation and advanced airway therapies
- Administering oxygen therapy, specialty gases, and aerosolized medications
- Performing arterial blood gas analysis and patient assessments
- Delivering chest physiotherapy and other respiratory interventions
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and department education
- Maintaining clinical competency through ongoing professional development
