    Job Description:

    Clinical Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

    Location: New Hyde Park, NY

    Days/Hours: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri between 8:00am - 6:00pm

    Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)

Join an intimate, high-end private practice where you aren't just a staff member—you are a clinical partner. Working directly with our Pulmonologist, you will have the time and resources to provide personalized care to a dedicated patient base. This role is ideal for an RT who thrives on continuity of care and wants to escape the "treadmill" of hospital rotations.

    What You'll Do:

    • Collaborate 1-on-1 with the Pulmonologist to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients with asthma, COPD, and pulmonary fibrosis

    • Manage the practice’s PFT lab, ensuring high-quality data for spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusion studies

    • Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries regarding their respiratory health, medications, and home equipment

    • Assist in-office with specialized procedures and coordinate with home health vendors for oxygen and PAP therapy setup

    • Manage the scheduling and flow of respiratory-specific appointments to ensure a seamless patient experience

    Why This Role is Different:

    • Your clinical observations directly influence the physician’s care decisions in real-time

    • No nights, no weekends, and no "on-call" shifts

    • You will see the same patients over months and years, witnessing their progress firsthand

    • Take ownership of the pulmonary lab and respiratory education programs within the practice

    What We're Looking For:

    • Must have a valid NYS Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license

    • Someone with a warm, professional demeanor who can make patients feel at ease

    • Ability to manage the lab and patient education with minimal supervision

    • Comfortable with EMR documentation and modern diagnostic software

    What We Offer:

    Salary: Starting at $50/hr

Benefits: Including health insurance from day one, dental and vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401k, generous PTO, 8 paid holidays (including 2 floating holidays), and more!

Join us at NYI, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.
