Compensation
- Entry Level: $32.95/hr
- Mid-Level Experience: $41.42/hr
- Experienced (based on years of experience): Up to $48.00/hr
Position Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care across acute, emergency, and critical care settings. This role includes performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, managing ventilatory support, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
This position offers exposure to advanced respiratory technology, structured mentorship, consistent scheduling, and a collaborative environment focused on professional development and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Respiratory Assessment & Intervention
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sound evaluation and airway assessment
- Identify patient needs and recommend appropriate respiratory interventions
Therapeutic Respiratory Care
- Administer oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications
- Provide airway clearance therapies and evidence-based respiratory treatments
- Support patients in emergency, ICU, and acute care settings
Ventilator & Airway Management
- Assist with artificial airway placement and management
- Initiate, monitor, and adjust invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and patient deterioration
Patient & Team Collaboration
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and treatments
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and care teams
- Assist with neonatal stabilization during deliveries as needed
Equipment & Safety Compliance
- Set up, operate, clean, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
- Ensure equipment readiness and preventive maintenance compliance
- Safely transport ventilated patients
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
Required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/RCP – State Licensure required)
- Associate Degree, Vocational Training, or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy
- BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
