We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Hyannis, MA. The clinician will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment for patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Responsibilities include providing ventilatory support, recommending ventilator settings, using lung protective strategies, weaning patients, monitoring and troubleshooting ventilators, performing ABG draws and interpretation, capnography, bedside spirometry, and airway management. The practitioner will assist with intubations, conscious sedations, bronchoscopy support, neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, non-invasive ventilation, aerosolized medication delivery, tracheostomy care, and participation in multidisciplinary rounds. Accurate documentation and charge reconciliation in the EMR are required. The role includes responding to codes and rapid response events, transporting and monitoring patients, maintaining equipment and supplies, and precepting or orienting staff and students as needed.
