1. Perform overnight polysomnographic (sleep) studies in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
2. Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and applying monitoring equipment.
3. Monitor, record, and document physiological data during sleep studies.
4. Recognize and respond appropriately to patient needs, emergencies, and equipment issues.
5. Score and analyze sleep study data according to applicable standards and guidelines.
6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and test results.
7. Maintain and troubleshoot sleep laboratory equipment as needed.
8. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support patient care and treatment plans.
9. Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance requirements.
10. Provide professional and compassionate care to patients ranging from pediatric (5 years and older) to adult populations.
11. Travel to additional sleep lab locations as required based on operational needs.
We are seeking a Registered Sleep Technologist for a 13-week assignment with potential for extension. The position involves conducting sleep studies, monitoring patients aged 5 years and older, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a sleep laboratory setting. Candidates must hold an active RPSGT certification through BRPT and a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Training on Epic will be provided. The schedule is 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 40 hours per week (4 x 10-hour shifts). Travel and local compensation packages are available, with reimbursement provided for travel between assigned sleep lab locations as needed.
