A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist to support an inpatient vascular lab in Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on performing vascular diagnostic ultrasound exams, producing high-quality images, and working independently in a clinical setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Hours: 1 hour unpaid lunch
- Setting: Inpatient Vascular Lab
Responsibilities:
- Perform vascular diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment and related techniques.
- Conduct a full range of vascular imaging procedures, including carotid, arterial, venous, visceral, dialysis access, reflux, and PVR studies.
- Assist with daily vascular laboratory operations, including patient flow and coordination with physicians and clinical staff.
- Produce quality images, preliminary reports, and accurate documentation in clinical systems and workflow tools.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, safety standards, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential required.
- Graduation from an approved formal training program in ultrasound technology required.
- At least 2 years of previous hospital experience as an ultrasound technologist required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with structured reporting.
- Familiarity with PACS systems, vascular databases, and workflow documentation tools.
- Experience supporting ultrasound-guided procedures and vascular laboratory operations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
