Description

A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist to support an inpatient vascular lab in Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on performing vascular diagnostic ultrasound exams, producing high-quality images, and working independently in a clinical setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hours: 1 hour unpaid lunch
  • Setting: Inpatient Vascular Lab

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment and related techniques.
  • Conduct a full range of vascular imaging procedures, including carotid, arterial, venous, visceral, dialysis access, reflux, and PVR studies.
  • Assist with daily vascular laboratory operations, including patient flow and coordination with physicians and clinical staff.
  • Produce quality images, preliminary reports, and accurate documentation in clinical systems and workflow tools.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, safety standards, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential required.
  • Graduation from an approved formal training program in ultrasound technology required.
  • At least 2 years of previous hospital experience as an ultrasound technologist required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with structured reporting.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems, vascular databases, and workflow documentation tools.
  • Experience supporting ultrasound-guided procedures and vascular laboratory operations.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
