Overview

Responsibilities

Learns to perform diagnostic vascular procedures according to hospital and accreditation standards and providing an accurate preliminary interpretation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

One of the following:

• Graduate of an accredited Vascular Tech program
• One year of field experience if not a graduate of a school designed for vascular technology

In addition, 100 or more studies each performed in carotid duplex, venous duplex and arterial non-imaging exams to ensure Clinical competency in carotid duplex, arterial non-imaging, and lower extremity venous duplex

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

BLS

One of the following:

• Registered Vascular Technologist through ARDMS
• Registered Vascular Sonographer through CCI

If not currently registered:

• Must be registry eligible at time of placement in position
• Registry must be obtained within 6 months of placement in position
