About the Role: Kitten Krazy Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team in Medina, OH! This is an exciting opportunity to do what you love every day in a fun, cat-only environment where your expertise truly makes a difference. If you would be dedicated to providing top-notch care for our cats and kittens while preparing them for adoption, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Process new intakes, triage, and physical assessments
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
Assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-op care under the supervision of our Veterinarians
Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment such as ultrasound machines, anesthesia machines, centrifuge, autoclave, etc.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in software
Main person responsible for the medical care and welfare of all cats and kittens at Kitten Krazy under the supervision of the Executive Director and/or Veterinarian(s)
Requirements:
Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of Ohio with at least three (3) years of experience
Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and dental procedures
Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, friendly demeanor, able to work with a large volunteer base as well as the Executive Director and Veterinarian(s)
Ability to handle and restrain our cats in a safe and humane manner
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team
