Job Description
Join our privately owned, family-run veterinary practice serving Loveland, Mason, Montgomery, and surrounding communities. As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in our single-doctor clinic, you will be a critical part of delivering high-quality medical care built on trust and long-term client relationships. You will assist in various clinical procedures while providing compassionate care and maintaining excellent communication with clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist and restrain animals safely using low-stress techniques
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and give injections
- Conduct diagnostic tests and prepare samples for reference laboratories
- Administer and monitor anesthesia effectively
- Position animals and acquire digital x-rays
- Maintain accurate medical records using practice management software
- Communicate daily with clients to provide updates and education
- Ensure exceptional patient care throughout all procedures
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and client service
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years in veterinary technology
- Experience with digital radiography and lab analyzers
- Familiarity with medical record software
- Expertise in low-stress restraint techniques
