As an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at SAGE Concord, you'll provide advanced nursing care for emergency patients while working alongside experienced emergency clinicians, specialists, and a collaborative team committed to exceptional patient outcomes.
At SAGE Concord, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll work in the largest Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Hospital in the East Bay. Since opening our state-of-the-art facility in 2022, we've expanded access to advanced Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Ophthalmology, and other specialty services.
You'll have the opportunity to care for a diverse caseload using advanced technology while working with a team that values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency patients throughout their hospital stay.
Triage incoming emergency cases and support clients during urgent and emotionally challenging situations.
Partner with veterinarians to perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, aspirates, and other diagnostic specimens.
Assist with advanced imaging and patient diagnostics.
Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation.
Monitor hospitalized patients and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient updates with the medical team.
Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
Minimum of 2 years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience.
Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, drug calculations, and patient handling.
Excellent communication and client service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional patient care.

$25.00–$40.00/hour, based on experience and skill set
$5.50/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM
