Compensation: $18–$24/hour (based on experience)

 

Shift/Schedule: Thurs–Sat: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency Hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our fast-paced emergency team.

What You’ll Do

  • Support veterinarians in emergency exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Assist with surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
  • Provide nursing care and first aid to critical and recovering patients
  • Monitor and interpret patient vitals (BP, ECG, SpO₂, EtCO₂)
  • Collect samples and perform basic in-house diagnostics
  • Operate radiology and other diagnostic equipment
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Accurately document patient care and medical records
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sterile treatment areas
  • Collaborate with teammates to support efficient patient flow

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of veterinary experience
  • Emergency experience preferred
  • LVT/RVT/CVT encouraged, but not required
  • Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring and patient care
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced ER environment
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset
