Are you passionate about animal health, skilled in veterinary care, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization? This role is a cornerstone of our clinical operations—supporting surgical and wellness services, shelter animal health, and providing compassionate patient care from intake to discharge. As a key team member, you will help ensure every animal we treat receives safe, appropriate, and quality care.


What You’ll Do :


Surgery & Wellness Care


  • Triage patients and communicate concerns to the veterinarian
  • Provide hands-on medical care throughout surgical & wellness procedures
  • Assist veterinarians during surgery and wellness exams
  • Maintain drug logs, databases, and accurate patient records
  • Administer vaccines, tests, medications, and treatments
  • Maintain clean, sterile workspaces and appropriate medical inventory
Shelter Medicine & Animal Wellness


  • Monitor overall health of shelter & foster animals
  • Administer appropriate treatments and medical care
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, properly supplied shelter environment
  • Ensure adoption-ready animals are fully vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped
  • Stay informed on current animal welfare practices
What You Bring


Education & Qualifications


  • Indiana RVT license 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and CE
Physical Requirements


  • Ability to stand or sit for 8+ hours
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs
  • Good fine motor skills, vision, hearing, balance, and mobility
  • Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and navigate tight spaces
  • Ability to work in varying environmental temperatures
