Job Description

The Registered Veterinary Technician RVT supports veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to patients while ensuring a positive experience for clients. This role involves clinical laboratory and client communication responsibilities in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

Essential Job Functions

Assist veterinarians with examinations diagnostics and treatments

Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical and dental procedures

Perform dental cleanings and dental radiography

Collect and process laboratory samples blood urine fecal cytology

Administer medications vaccines and treatments as prescribed

Obtain accurate patient histories and maintain detailed medical records

Safely restrain animals for procedures and treatments

Take and process radiographs X-rays

Educate clients on medications post-operative care and preventive health

Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment and surgical areas

Qualifications

Active Registered Veterinary Technician RVT license in good standing

Strong knowledge of animal care and veterinary medical procedures

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compassionate patient and detail-oriented

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes

Stand walk and bend for extended periods

Work in a clinical environment with exposure to animals and medical equipment

Compensation

23.00 - 26.00 per hour ~48000 - 54000 annually based on full-time hours
