    Description

    Title: Patient Receptionist / Registration / Scheduler

    Location: Waukesha, WI

    Full/Part Time: Full Time

    Hours/Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends.

    Job Duties:

    Front Desk Responsibilities

    · Open and close clinic as assigned

    · Greet and check in patients in a professional, welcoming manner

    · Complete pre-registration; verify demographics and insurance information

    · Obtain required patient signatures and documentation

    · Prepare patient charts and ensure readiness for upcoming clinic days

    · Facilitate patient flow and communicate delays as needed

    · Distribute glasses and contact lens prescriptions and schedule follow-up appointments at checkout

    · Collect copays and patient balances; process daily cash drawer reconciliation

    · Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area

    Central Scheduling & Call Center Responsibilities

    · Answer incoming calls from a high-volume call queue

    · Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments for multiple providers and locations

    · Manage patient wait lists

    · Provide appointment details, directions, and provider information

    · Perform light scheduling-related clinical triage and route urgent concerns appropriately

    · Monitor and process multiple Epic work queues

    · Process and schedule non-surgical referrals in Epic, including patient outreach and documentation

    · Retrieve and distribute faxes in a timely manner to support patient care

    Qualifications:

    Education: High school graduate.

    Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
