School Year Schedule: 20 hours/week; M-F, 4.0 hours/day; 10:30am - 2:30pm

August 17, 2026: New Hire Orientation
August 24-26, 2026 and September 2, 2026: EA Inservice/Work Days
September 3, 2026: First Day of School (5K-5)
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Work effectively, collaboratively, and positively with students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and parents/guardians.
- Work with students using a variety of instructional strategies and adjust methods to needs of students.
- Maintain a sense of humor and use a positive and supportive approach when working with students.
- Gather and organize learning materials to be used by students.
- Perform individual and small group instruction.
- Use positive reinforcement and appropriate disciplinary techniques.
- To work independently and sometimes in a stressful environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of materials.
- To think quickly, maintain self-control and adapt to sometimes stressful or difficult situations with students
- Administer immediate basic first aid
- Operate all types of office equipment.
- Read and interpret documents such as district policies and procedures, handbooks, manuals and computer manuals.
- Proctor individual and school-wide tests.
- Produce monthly newsletters, recognition booklets, awards booklets, programs, flyers and handbooks.
- Install programs and plugins in lab computers.
- Process new books, magazines and newspapers into library system.
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Excellent computer skills
- Intermediate level mastery of MS Word and Excel
- Skillful at searching the internet
- Knowledge of first line technical support for hardware and software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise students and be responsible for children's well-being and safety when entering/leaving buildings, hallways, playgrounds, lunchrooms, bus lines, parking lots, or when on a field trip.
- Provide care and instruction of students in the absence of a teacher for a limited time or during emergency situations.
- Assists in student assessments
- Assists in the gathering and preparation of materials to be used by students in group, individual and learning center activities
- Act as an office assistant or in any other capacity as requested by administration
