Regular Substitute - ENL Teacher (2026-2027)

The Mahopac Central School District seeks to fill the following anticipated position for the 2026-2027 school year:

ENL Teacher - Long-Term Substitute

Location - Lakeview Elementary School

Anticipated Effective Dates - 8/31/2026-11/25/2026

Qualifications:

• NYS certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages
• Bilingual preferred
• Flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirements
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues throughout the District
• Provide ENL instruction aligned to students' English proficiency levels, supporting language development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-plan and support access to grade-level content
• Differentiate instruction and provide push-in and/or pull-out services based on student needs
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and contribute to progress reports and required documentation
• Maintain compliance with ENL regulations and communicate effectively with staff and families
