Job Description

A growing consumer products company in the CPG cleaning products space is hiring a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to own compliance and support product development from the regulatory side. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone who takes pride in careful, thorough work, enjoys navigating complex compliance frameworks, and wants to be the go-to expert on EPA registrations, labeling, and state disclosure requirements. You'll manage the full regulatory lifecycle while working alongside the Product Development team as new formulations move through the pipeline.

What you'll be doing:
  • Manage EPA registrations, renewals, and amendments
  • Prepare and maintain SDS documentation and GHS-compliant labeling
  • Track and ensure compliance with state disclosure laws (SB 258, Prop 65)
  • Monitor VOC limits and CARB requirements
  • Support claim substantiation aligned with EPA and FTC standards
  • Coordinate with outside regulatory counsel and third-party testing labs
  • Maintain compliance tracking systems and documentation
  • Support the Product Development team on regulatory aspects of new formulations

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (strongly preferred over biochemistry)
  • 2-4+ years of regulatory affairs experience, ideally with EPA-registered products or household/consumer chemicals
  • Working knowledge of EPA FIFRA registrations, SDS/GHS, SB 258, Prop 65, CARB, and FTC claim substantiation frameworks
  • Experience preparing and submitting regulatory filings
  • Comfortable working with outside counsel and testing labs
  • Strong attention to detail with careful documentation habits
  • Good Communication, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently while coordinating across departments
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen
