MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Associates Degree in Business, Law, or related field.

3 - 5 years of experience in a related compliance or regulatory role.

Deep understanding of industry-specific laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Knowledge of EPA, DOT, PHMSA, DHS, and OSHA requirements.

Valid Driver's License required (subject to motor record review).


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Improves staff effectiveness by counseling„ training and recommending corrective action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.

Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, time approval, hiring, training, orientation, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.

Develops measurable performance expectations for assigned staff according to department goals and objectives.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Organizes and coordinates the daily operations of assigned staff to meet work goals; ensures activities are in compliance with all laws, policies, regulations and goals; demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Develops and implements internal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal standards.

Mitigates legal risks by monitoring operations, submitting reports, and training staff.

Educates employees and stakeholders on compliance requirements and ethical standards.

Conducts audits and risk assessments to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.

Investigates violations or irregularities and implement corrective actions.

Acts as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, handling inquiries, inspections, and reporting.

Prepares and submits compliance reports to management and regulatory agencies.

Advises senior management on compliance risks and develop strategies to address potential violations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
