The Work You Will Do
The Regulatory Specialist II performs professional regulatory and administrative work in support of the Division of Real Estate, the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC), and the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board (FREAB). This position is responsible for reviewing and evaluating licensure and education applications, conducting research, applying statutes, rules, policies, and supporting documentation, and preparing recommendations regarding eligibility and regulatory compliance.
The incumbent serves as a resource to applicants, licensees, educators, attorneys, and the public by providing timely, accurate, and professional assistance regarding licensing requirements, education approvals, application status, and Division processes. The position also assists with the preparation of Board and Education agendas, maintains licensing and document imaging records, research regulatory issues, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and supports the Divisions mission of licensing efficiently and regulating fairly.
The position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.

Minimum Requirements
At least one (1) year of professional work experience involving administrative, regulatory, analytical, research, licensing, or customer service responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants with:
Experience working for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Experience reviewing licensing or education applications.
Experience researching and interpreting Florida Statutes and Florida Administrative Code.
Experience using licensing, document imaging, or case management systems.
Experience working in a regulatory, licensing, legal, or government environment.
