    Job Description

    Job Title: Physical Therapy Aide
    Department: Support Staff
    Accountability: This position reports to the Support Staff Manager
    Responsibilities:
    • Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patients
    • Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment area by following prescribed procedures
    • Answers all patient questions and requests
    • Assists in the treatment of patients by applying heat packs, paraffin dips
    • Helps patients into whirlpool, and onto exercise equipment
    • Monitor and document motion, mobility, walking time and distance
    • Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise
    • Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area
    • Assisting in clerical tasks such as filing, scheduling patients, and answering phones
    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Physical Therapy Aide Certification preferred
    • Entry level position
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
    • Must be able to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions
    • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
    • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
    • Must possess a strong attention to detail
    • Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, and bending
