LPN's observe, measure, and record clinical data, which is used by other health practitioners to make health care decisions.
LPN's can pass medications, complete wound care, administer vaccinations and execute medical regimens as prescribed by NY Licensed Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assist and Podiatrists.
LPN's identify health problems or changes in a person's health status and determine whether immediate intervention is needed.
LPN's must report these problems or changes in a timely manner to an RN or directing practitioner.
LPN's are not legally allowed to take independent action to address health problems or changes.
Medication administration and tube feeding via gastrostomy or jejunal tube observation
Provides personal care and maintains living areas, including making beds, changing linens, lifting and moving individuals, and safeguarding personal belongings.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted NY license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Candidates should be experienced with developmental disabilities,
Administration of medications/including Insulin; G-Tube/J-Tube feedings; Respiratory treatments, Tracheotomy care/Suctioning, etc.
Minimum of one (1) year/s of recent experience as an LPN.
Additional certifications may be required.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
