Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - IV pump and IV insertion/central, PICC, and midline catheter care; tube feeding pump; GI/PEG/NG tube management and care; NG tube insertion; wound vac/wound care; indwelling catheter insertion and care; trach care and suctioning; laryngectomy care; drain care; management of behavior issues.
Special Requests: - RTO requests must go through the nurse manager.
Unit Details: - Inpatient rehabilitation / physical medicine rehabilitation unit caring for stroke, neuro, TBI, MS, Parkinson’s, LVAD, oncology, trach, and transplant patients. - RN ratios: Day 1:4-5; Night 1:6-7. - Support staffing ratios: LPN Day 1:4-5 / Night 1:6-7; CNA Day 1:6-7 / Night 1:7-8. - Charge nurse may have a patient assignment. Health Unit Coordinator 0600-2230; hospitalist, RT, and phlebotomy available 24/7. - Uses Alaris, Pyxis, Hoyer lifts, ceiling lifts, and sit-to-stand lifts.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every third weekend, as needed, subject to change based on department needs. - No call. - Every other holiday, as needed. - Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12 hour shifts.
Floating Requirements: - Float to all other Med-Surg areas and inpatient boarding, with a 1:4 ratio. - Travelers float first.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
