Rehabilitation Clinical Support Associate- PRN
Job Description
Overview
Schedule: This is a PRN position between 6:00am- 6:00pm
Location: This position will support Rehab Services at the following locations:
- Morgan Hospital
- Bloomington Hospital
- Bedford Hospital
- Paoli Hospital
Responsibilities:
- This position oversees patient flow from point of entry to destination and ensures timely, accurate and professional services.
- This position is responsible for timely and accurate resolution of patient's accounts.
- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to obtaining specific information to generate accurate financial and demographic records, insurance verification, prior authorization, and coordination of benefits.
- Communicates with payers and patients to achieve accurate financial information.
- Responsible for accurate registration of patients, scheduling recurring appointments, answers incoming calls and directs patient and visitors appropriately.
- Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required.
- Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
- Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies.
- The position adheres to departmental productivity, quality and service standards in support of operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- 0-3 years Customer Service/Medical experience desired.
- Minimum one-year medical office experience or combination of extensive customer service work experience and education in insurance verification, patient registration and medical terminology preferred.
- Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS)
