Description

Performs difficult administrative work managing the full lifecycle of the rehabilitation loan process. Performs related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Senior Project Supervisor in the Lending Division.

Examples of Duties

  • Process and ensures accuracy of time-sensitive loan review paperwork
  • Responsible for managing full lifecycle of rehabilitation cases
  • Conducts HUD-required minimal site inspections as needed
  • Conducts monthly Deferred Loan Reviews
  • Contacts clients to retrieve required documentation to determine loan repayment status
  • Follows-up with customers with loans to ensure documents are correct, current, and uploaded into our records system.
  • Manages inbound and outbound calls to customers, and address customer needs accordingly
  • Maintains excellent customer service standards
  • Assists in marketing efforts
  • Makes accommodations for customers with issues getting to the office to sign or complete any parts of the application

Typical Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or related field and 3-5 years experience in real estate closings and financing techniques, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of lending and loan underwriting and associated paperwork; knowledge of mortgage financing and credit evaluation; ability to deal effectively with homeowners, agents and contractors; ability to prepare and complete documents accurately and to exercise good judgment in recommending loan applications for approval; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public; experience with Microsoft Office Suite; and familiarity with Neighborly or other loan origination software preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel and occasionally requires walking; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to harsh or hazardous environmental conditions; work is generally in a quiet location (e.g. library, private offices) but may need to make occasional site visits to properties, which includes exposure to outdoor elements and weather conditions.

Supplemental Information

Valid Drivers License with ability to obtain DL in NC within a reasonable timeframe.
