Rehabilitation Manager

Role Summary

Are you an experienced physical or occupational therapist ready to transition into an impactful clinical leadership role that focuses on treating the whole person? We are seeking a dynamic Rehabilitation Manager to lead our comprehensive restorative and rehabilitative therapy programs. In this vital leadership position, you will move away from high-volume, episodic care models to orchestrate long-term, life-changing wellness strategies for vulnerable seniors. Blending clinical supervision with operational management, you will develop your staff, optimize daily clinic workflows, manage department budgets, and ensure absolute regulatory compliance. If you are a compassionate leader looking to combine your technical therapy background with a passion for team development and strategic planning, we want you to shape the future of our rehabilitation services.

Duties & Responsibilities

Department Leadership & Staff Mentorship

  • Operational Management: Oversee the performance, scheduling, and professional development of the rehabilitation therapy team, cultivating a supportive, highly engaged workspace.

  • Clinical Excellence: Ensure that all physical, occupational, and delegated speech therapy services are delivered in strict compliance with clinical competency standards and state and federal regulations.

  • Strategic Growth: Partner with the Center Director and Clinical Services Director to identify long-term staffing requirements, budget goals, and workflow enhancements.

  • Contract Management: Manage external contract relationships for specialized clinical offerings, such as speech therapy services, ensuring high quality and continuity of care.

  • Integrated Care Planning: Provide relevant program knowledge and analytical leadership to help the team implement personalized care blueprints established for each senior.

  • Community-Based Care: Conduct impactful home visits as needed to evaluate home therapy services, manage therapeutic equipment setups, or deliver direct, hands-on treatments when necessary.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory statutes and local rules governing community-based adult day health care and outpatient rehabilitation services.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered California state license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).

  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of formal leadership or supervisory experience leading a team of rehabilitation professionals, with a proven track record of mentoring staff.

  • Life Support: Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 180 days of hire (certifications in hand upon hire preferred).

Location and Work Type

  • Work Type: Full-Time, Mid-Senior level permanent leadership position.

  • Work Setting: On-site clinical facility management combined with occasional local community home visits (dedicated office space is available on-location).
