    Rehabilitation Technician - Part time - 20 hours Danbury Hospital Outpatient Danbury-235 Main St 

    8 and 10 hour shifts between Dept Hours- M- TH 7am-8p, Fri 8am-5p- 1-2 evenings until 8 required.

    High School Diploma or equivalent required and relevant healthcare experience preferred. Exert up to 50 pounds of pressure. This is a union role pay based on full years of related experience. Starts at $17/hour.

    Summary:

    To assist clinical staff with patient related activities to provide efficient services to the patient and to optimize productivity.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Maintains multiple treatment areas/rooms.
    2. Sets up and applies all modalities including patient positioning for therapy.
    3. Assists with transfers and gait training.
    4. May assist with selected procedures in wound care; utilizes sterile techniques, prepares and cleans equipment. Assists with medical waste disposal per department policy.
    5. Measures and reports vital signs of patient to therapist.
    6. Meets and greets patients/family members.
    7. Stocks and orders supplies.
    8. Keeps equipment organized and clean & ensures current inspection duties.
    9. Assists with distribution of patient satisfaction surveys. May assist with scheduling and clerical duties as needed.
    10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
    11. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education Skills Experience:

    HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

    Required:
    Minimum Experience: zero to six months
    Desired: CPR certification preferred. Bilingual preferred.

    Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

    Occupational: Some occupational risk

    Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
