Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Home Health Reimbursement Specialist to join a fast-paced healthcare team. This role is responsible for managing insurance claims, researching denials and rejections, documenting account activity, and ensuring timely reimbursement from assigned payers.

The ideal candidate has strong billing and collections experience, understands medical claims, CPT coding, accounts receivable/payable, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor insurance claim status and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Research and resolve claim rejections, denials, and returned claims.
• Perform collections to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance providers.
• Audit accounts and perform mathematical calculations to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Accurately document account activity and collection efforts.
• Maintain organized records while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve reimbursement processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year of current medical billing or reimbursement experience
• Strong billing and collections experience

Knowledge of:

• Medical claims billing
• CPT coding
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Medical terminology

Strong computer skills, including:

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Medical billing software
• Database applications
• Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
