Cincinnati Re, a division of The Cincinnati Insurance Company, is currently seeking a Reinsurance Claims Associate Analyst who will assist a team of claims professionals in managing the reinsurance claim payment process, analysis of loss runs and input, and validation of reinsurance claims. This position will involve interpretation of reinsurance contracts for a wide range of reinsurance products, and provide underwriters and management advice and analysis on claims trends and financial matters as they relate to individual accounts.

Be ready to:

• analyze, understand and apply reinsurance contracts
• evaluate submitted claims for determination of coverage
• calculate and process loss and expense reserves and billings
• communicate with brokers and cedents to provide support and resolve claim issues
• approve reinsurance claim payments based on contract terms within authority
• respond to inquiries from internal and external parties
• participate in various projects that support Cincinnati Re in maintaining our competitive edge

Be equipped with:

• strong attention to detail,
• the ability to multi-task on multiple projects while being highly organized
• willingness and capability to learn and use claims and analytical software systems
• the proficiency to effectively use Microsoft Excel
• good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• the capability to work independently or collaboratively without hesitation to ask questions
• aptitude to lead and embrace change
