Ziegler Companies has an opening for an Assistant Controller who is responsible for the daily operations of the Related Companies Accounting Department. This position will manage Payroll, Tax Filing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Staff Accountant. Additional responsibilities will include managing daily cash needs, implementing controls, and performing account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to the Controller and Chief Financial Officer
Oversee the following areas with assistance from your team:
Related Companies Payroll and HR duties
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Tax filings
Monthly and Quarterly Account Reconciliations
Cash Reconciliations
Daily Cash Management
Month end closing of financials
Process and pay vendor payments
Employee expense book management
Bank compliance reporting
Review and approve vendor payments
Facilitate and review journal entries that are made
Create and develop necessary controls that protect the company's assets.
Lead and facilitate the completion of the company's year end financial audit. Coordinate with others within the department as needed.
Develop and implement process improvements
Hire, train, and supervise team members to be high-performing employees for the company.
Manage daily workflow of the department as well as identify training opportunities as needed
Facilitates the completion of short and long term projects from start to finish
Communicates effectively outside the department on projects and process changes
Communicates ideas and concerns to management after conducting research and analysis
Works in a cooperative manner with coworkers
Comfortable keeping Confidential Information

The pay range for this position is
$95,100.00 to $118,800.00
Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
