Responsibilities
As a Release & Delivery Coordinator at DAPI, you are the operational backbone of sprint delivery across DAPI's engineering teams. Reporting to the Director, Product Delivery Management, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, coach teams on Scrum discipline, and coordinate release logistics across one or more active scrum teams—spanning software, data engineering, analytics, and cloud infrastructure workstreams.
This is not a project management role in disguise. You are a leader who protects team focus, maintains delivery rhythm, and surfaces risk early not someone who tracks tasks or drives teams through deliverables by authority. You will own sprint metrics, coordinate UAT logistics with business stakeholders, and support release readiness activities in partnership with the Lead Quality Engineer and Director, Product Delivery Management.
Scrum Facilitation
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies for assigned team sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives assuring they are purposeful, timeboxed, and drive the right outcomes.
- Maintain the sprint backlog in Azure DevOps—ensuring work items are properly defined, estimated, and tracked throughout each sprint cycle.
- Track sprint velocity, capacity, and commitment accuracy—reporting delivery metrics to the Director, Product Delivery Management on a sprint-by-sprint basis.
Impediment Removal & Team Protection
- Identify and actively resolve impediments that block team progress—escalating to the Director, Product Delivery Management when cross-team or organizational intervention is required.
- Shield teams from unplanned work, scope creep, and external disruptions during active sprints—routing new requests through the intake process rather than directly into sprint execution.
- Facilitate dependency coordination across DAPI's scrum teams, surfacing cross-team blockers early and working with the Director to resolve sequencing conflicts.
Release Coordination & UAT Logistics
- Coordinate release logistics for assigned teams—tracking feature completion, documentation readiness, and deployment scheduling in partnership with the Lead Quality Engineer and IT Operations.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles—scheduling sessions with business stakeholders, tracking test scenario completion, and ensuring defects are triaged and resolved before release sign-off.
- Maintain release calendars and communicate release scope, timelines, and impacts to relevant stakeholders in coordination with the Director, Product Delivery Management.
- Contribute to go/no-go readiness assessments—aggregating team delivery status, outstanding defects, and risk indicators for Director and Lead QE review.
Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement
- Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices—reinforcing a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Lead sprint retrospectives that produce actionable improvement item-tracking implementation of retrospective outcomes across subsequent sprints.
- Contribute to DAPI's Agile maturity—identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and supporting the Director in standardizing delivery practices across teams.
Delivery Reporting & Visibility
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date delivery dashboards in Azure DevOps—ensuring sprint progress, backlog health, and team capacity are always visible to the Director and VP.
- Produce sprint summaries and release reports that communicate delivery outcomes, velocity trends, and risks to the Director, Product Delivery Management.
