Our client, a Waste Disposal company, is looking for a Release Manager Assistant for their Windsor, CT/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Support increasing release management activities, deployment coordination, governance requirements, release communications, CRQ administration, and cross-team scheduling.
  • The position will allow Release Management resources to focus on strategic release planning, risk management, and production stability activities.
  • The Release Management Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, governance, and execution of software releases across multiple Digital teams.
  • The role will maintain release schedules and calendars, coordinate deployment activities, track release readiness, assist with Change Requests (CRQs), facilitate communications, and ensure required documentation, approvals, and signoffs are completed before production deployments.
  • The coordinator will help manage release metrics, maintain deployment records, support CAB preparation activities, coordinate environment refresh schedules, and facilitate post-release reporting and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Schedule and facilitate release readiness meetings.
  • Track sprinttorelease alignment.
  • Coordinate CRQ and CAB documentation.
  • Follow up on approvals, testing signoffs, and deployment readiness activities.
  • Monitor release dependencies, risks, and action items.
  • Coordinate communications before, during, and after production releases.
  • Track release metrics and prepare executive reporting.
  • Support environment refresh and deployment scheduling activities.
  • Document release outcomes, lessons learned, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate handoff activities between project teams and production support.
  • Maintain release governance documentation and audit evidence.
 
Requirements:
  • Experience coordinating IT projects, releases, deployments, or change management activities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience managing schedules, action items, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in structured operational or technical environments.
  • Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with release management, change management, or production support processes.
