IDR is seeking a Release Manager II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you’ll help plan, coordinate, and execute releases for a high-visibility, live service product, ensuring stable deployments and a seamless end-user experience. You’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, and product partners to improve release processes and strengthen the delivery pipeline with a continuous delivery mindset.

Position Overview for the Release Manager II:

  • Coordinate and execute releases and deployments to support a consistent, high-quality customer experience
  • Support day-to-day operations of the release pipeline, monitoring readiness and escalating risks/issues as needed
  • Partner cross-functionally with development, operations, and product teams to keep releases on track
  • Help drive process and tooling improvements to increase reliability, repeatability, and speed of delivery
  • Maintain clear communication and documentation (runbooks, status updates, incident response procedures)

Requirements for the Release Manager II:

  • 2+ years of experience in Release Management, QA, Live Operations, or similar roles in PC software or live service environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Perforce, Git, Datadog, JIRA)
  • Working knowledge of release operations, including build/release coordination and basic troubleshooting in production environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to follow established processes while proactively identifying risks, documenting gaps, and supporting continuous improvement
