    Job Description

We are actively seeking a Release Manager to own the release governance process and serve as the go/no-go authority for all production deployments.

In this role you will ensure every release meets quality, security, and compliance standards before reaching production. The Release Manager coordinates across all value streams, QA Governance, DevOps, and SRE so deployments are controlled, repeatable, and low risk. This role reports to the Director of Q&R Engineering. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving environment. We value leaders who lead from the front - setting direction while staying close to the details. You’ll build frameworks, coach teams, and contribute directly alongside the people you lead.

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in release management, DevOps management, or deployment engineering roles.
    • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release governance.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
    • Experience managing release processes for complex, multi-team environments.
    • Understanding of rollback strategies, blue/green deployments, canary releases, and feature flags.
    • Strong understanding of QA processes, regression testing, and production monitoring.
    • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and containerized deployments.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills - able to coordinate across multiple teams under time pressure.
    • Experience in insurance or financial services technology is a plus.
    • ITIL, DevOps, or release management certifications are a plus.
    • Demonstrated player/coach leadership style - you set the strategy AND roll up your sleeves to execute. You’re comfortable building the first version of a process, template, or deliverable yourself rather than waiting for your team to be in place.
