Lead Reliability in a Heavy Industrial Setting
Mural Group is partnering with a well-established heavy industrial manufacturer to hire a Reliability and Maintenance Supervisor for its Dunkirk, NY facility. You’ll guide a front-line maintenance team in a high-demand environment where equipment reliability, safety, and uptime drive performance every shift.
A day in the life
As production ramps up, you set priorities with operations to minimize downtime. You line up preventive tasks, stage parts, and coach technicians before they head to the floor. Mid-morning brings a critical breakdown—you lead fast diagnosis, root cause analysis, and a safe return to service. In the afternoon, you review equipment history to choose repair versus replace, place orders for spares, and lock in the next planned shutdown. Before close, you walk the area for 5S, verify safety compliance, and recognize the crew for improvements that boosted uptime.
How you’ll make an impact
- Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day direction for maintenance technicians; assign and prioritize preventive and corrective work; coordinate with operations to reduce disruptions; develop talent through training and coaching.
- Reliability & Troubleshooting: Investigate failures and implement corrective actions; perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence; track performance indicators and identify reliability opportunities; support site-wide uptime initiatives.
- Planning & Execution: Order repair materials and critical spares; assist with maintenance scheduling and planned shutdowns; support capital projects and infrastructure improvements; use equipment history to recommend repair or replacement strategies.
- Safety & Continuous Improvement: Enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards; champion housekeeping and 5S; maintain assets in safe, reliable condition; drive continuous improvement within maintenance operations.
