In this crucial role, you'll enhance operational efficiency by maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. This position requires a blend of practical engineering knowledge, leadership in maintenance, and strategic thinking to ensure smooth operations across manufacturing facilities. You'll work closely with engineering and production teams to elevate safety standards and maintain consistent output.
Responsibilities:
• Strategize and lead maintenance efforts for equipment, facility systems, and operational controls
• Guide and oversee maintenance and technical crews with strategic direction
• Develop and manage work schedules, ensuring the execution of repair and preventive tasks
• Mentor maintenance staff to foster ongoing development and skill enhancement
• Design and enhance maintenance programs to extend asset longevity
• Utilize condition-monitoring technologies like vibration, oil, and thermographic analyses
• Investigate persistent equipment problems and conduct analyses to eliminate future issues
• Collaborate with Engineering for new equipment implementations and plant improvements
• Engage in risk assessment to evaluate impacts on production efficiency, safety, and compliance
• Assist in evaluating maintenance suppliers, managing MRO strategies, and assessing contractor performance
• Create and update maintenance documentation, procedures, and key performance indicators
• Take part in the evaluation and setup of new or upgraded equipment
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a comparable technical field
• Over 3 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or manufacturing engineering
• Skilled in mechanical and electrical problem-solving
• Proven experience in supervising maintenance staff
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Knowledgeable in using CMMS (such as Maintenance Connection, SAP)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications
• Well-versed in failure analysis, risk management, and asset management
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with automated or complex manufacturing systems
• Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance and root cause analysis practices
• Background in specialized manufacturing, such as plastics or advanced machinery
• Experience with cutting-edge condition-monitoring tools
• German language proficiency is beneficial
