Job Description

Own reliability metrics, reporting, and performance analysis across multiple programs and product lines. Calculate, monitor, and report key reliability KPIs, including MTBF, MDBF, and other contract-defined measurements. Identify reliability trends, recurring failure modes, and emerging performance risks. Lead the collection, validation, reconciliation, and analysis of failure data from multiple internal and external sources. Maintain and improve FRACAS processes and reliability tracking systems. Coordinate Failure Analysis Reports (FARs) and corrective action activities. Prepare and present monthly reliability reports to management and key stakeholders. Support Failure Review Board meetings with detailed analysis and actionable recommendations. Lead and coordinate root cause investigations while engaging cross-functional technical teams. Measure and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions through statistical analysis and performance monitoring. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Field Service, Operations, Project Management, and customer organizations to improve reliability outcomes. Support customer discussions by providing accurate, traceable, and data-driven reliability information.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, RAM/RAMS, FRACAS management, quality engineering, or a related technical field. Experience within rail, transportation, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial equipment, or other reliability-driven industries preferred. Strong understanding of reliability statistics, failure rate analysis, Weibull analysis, and reliability modeling. Proven experience supporting root cause investigations and corrective action programs. Experience working within contract-driven or highly regulated environments preferred. Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong data management and reporting skills with exceptional attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to travel to customer facilities and operational sites as required.
