Location Mansfield OHCleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Reliability Engineer. The Reliability Engineer will provide technical engineering expertise for determination of the basic causes of equipment failure the development and implementation of corrective actions the development and installation of new equipment technologies and establish appropriate maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability. The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment have excellent communication skills and motivate people.Summary of Responsibilities Determine causes of equipment failuresFailure analysis techniques to determine root causes of equipment failures and initiate corrective actionsAssist in planning of equipment outages downturn repairs and preventive maintenance proceduresCoordinate inspectionsSpares and inventory cost controlsPerform safety and quality audits observations within the department to detect existing or potential accident hazards or quality defectsAssist in the development review and update of JSHAs Job Safety and Health Analysis to eliminate safety hazardsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or related equivalent experienceExperience with mechanical drivesEngineering mechanical and hydraulic knowledgeExperience in troubleshooting and problem solving to determine root causeExcellent communication analytical and time management skillsAbility to lead and motivate employeesMust be able to work extended hours to support operations during and outside maintenance outagesPreferred Qualifications2-5 years experience in heavy manufacturingExperience with AC DC cranesKnowledge of melting and casting steel or other metalsExperience in a union environmentCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
