Title: Reliability and Maintenance Engineer Location: Redmond, WA Duration: 6 months, possible extensions Compensation: $55-60hr Work Requirements: Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
This is a fully onsite position.
About the Role Join an advanced technology manufacturer to build a maintenance and reliability program from the ground up for production/manufacturing equipment. This is a program-build role — you'll be establishing structure where it currently doesn't exist, not maintaining an already-mature system. Core Requirements
Background in industrial or continuous manufacturing (semiconductor, pharma/biotech, chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas/refining, paper, or similar high-uptime environments)
Experience building or significantly maturing a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program — defining PM types (time-based, usage-based, condition-based) across varied asset types
Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) or criticality analysis methodology — determining which assets/parts matter most and why
Hands-on experience building or cleaning up asset hierarchies and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Experience developing a spare parts strategy — determining what spares should exist based on criticality, not just cataloging what's currently on the shelf
Comfort working in a CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix, UpKeep, eMaintenance, or similar)
Nice to Have
Experience standing up a reliability/maintenance function in a greenfield or early-maturity environment
Familiarity with manufacturing/production equipment specifically (vs. facilities-only maintenance)
What You'll Be Doing
Build a complete asset inventory/hierarchy across all identified equipment types on the production floor
Define and implement appropriate PM strategies per asset type
Achieve 100% BOM coverage across all identified asset types
Design a criticality-based spare parts strategy — closing the current gap between what spares exist and what spares should exist
Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to validate asset data and prioritize based on operational impact.
W2, direct hires only. No C2C or vendor opportunities available.
