    Description

Our client is seeking a Reliability Vibration Technician to support vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, and rotating‑equipment reliability within a large, regulated facilities environment. This position combines advanced condition‑monitoring expertise with supervisory responsibility, contributing to a multi‑discipline facilities operation.

You will lead vibration diagnostics, infrared thermography, and reliability‑centered maintenance initiatives while also serving as a second‑in‑command within the facilities organization. The role supports operational oversight, CMMS management, project coordination, and staff development.

This position requires deep technical skills, strong analytical capability, and proven experience supervising teams within complex, multi‑service facilities operations.

Please Note: Local candidates within a practical daily commute (~45 minutes) are strongly preferred

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as operational backup to the site's senior facilities leader when required.
    • Supervise technical staff, mentor junior analysts, and support training initiatives.
    • Oversee CMMS workflows, work‑order execution, documentation quality, and compliance.
    • Conduct infrared thermographic inspections across electrical, mechanical, and process systems.
    • Support account‑level responsibilities including project coordination, safety oversight, and quality assurance.
    • Lead and support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Perform advanced vibration analysis on rotating equipment including motors, pumps, fans, compressors, and gearboxes.
    • Diagnose failure modes such as misalignment, imbalance, bearing defects, looseness, resonance, and electrical anomalies.
    • Partner with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on equipment upgrades, capital projects, and reliability improvements.
    • Develop, refine, and execute predictive maintenance (PdM), condition‑based monitoring (CBM), and reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) programs.

    Qualifications (Must-Haves)

    • Proficiency with vibration/IR analysis software and CMMS platforms.
    • Experience performing RCFA and implementing reliability improvements.
    • Demonstrated expertise in FFT, waveform, phase, and resonance analysis.
    • Ability to work in regulated environments with strong documentation and SOP discipline.
    • 5–10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, condition monitoring, or rotating‑equipment diagnostics.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience acceptable.
    • Formal supervisory experience (minimum 5 years) including staff development, performance management, and operational oversight.
    • ISO Vibration Analysis Certification (Category I–IV) - Category III or IV strongly preferred and Category I or II acceptable with 10–15 years of strong PdM/vibration experience.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Infrared Thermography Certification (Level I–III)
    • Experience supporting large, multi‑service or multi‑manager facilities operations
    • Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, chemical, or other regulated industries.

    Nice-to-Haves:

    • Infrared thermography.
    • Experience in regulated environments.
    • Experience in large enterprise facilities operations.
