AECOM seeks a strategic growth and operations leader to oversee environmental remediation services and accelerate higher‑returning, lower‑risk growth across the Gulf Coast and South‑Central markets. The leader will combine operational excellence with strong client partnerships, market knowledge, and business development to expand our presence across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The role will lead a multidisciplinary team of environmental remediation professionals and serve as a trusted advisor to clients to position AECOM for continued market expansion. Imagine it. Delivered. **Key Responsibilities** **_Industry and Market Leadership_** + Build and strengthen client relationships across Gulf Coast and South‑Central Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial markets to identify strategic growth opportunities and expand AECOM’s market presence across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas. + Maintain a deep understanding of market conditions, capital investment trends, regulatory developments, M&A activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy and pursuits. + Serve as a visible leader in the regional community through industry organizations, conferences, client engagement, and strategic networking. + Identify emerging market needs and align AECOM’s technical excellence and innovation to deliver integrated, future‑focused client solutions. + Collaborate across AECOM’s business lines to connect expertise and deliver holistic, multi‑disciplinary solutions. **_Operations_** + Maximize operational performance by aligning people, project delivery, and client satisfaction to achieve sustainable, higher‑returning, lower‑risk growth. + Provide operational leadership for complex projects and programs, resolving delivery challenges, mitigating risk, optimizing resources, and ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. + Champion consistent project delivery practices and quality standards across the department; conduct project reviews and dashboard deep dives to share successes and corrective actions. + Guide teams through operational shifts while minimizing disruptions + Use KPIs and analytics to manage pipeline health and adjust tactics. + Develop and manage budgets to support business development, portfolio management, pursuit prioritization, project oversight, and disciplined execution. + Evaluate potential opportunities to ensure alignment with AECOM’s strategy, risk posture, and growth priorities. **_People_** + Lead and develop environmental professionals across multiple offices and programs, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and performance. + Anticipate market trends and align team capabilities to stay competitive; connect diverse expertise to innovate and deliver. + Set clear goals, actively listen, and provide consistent, constructive feedback; coach, mentor, and build the next generation of leaders. + Develop strong talent pipelines and a culture of continuous learning; implement workforce and succession strategies to support long‑term growth. + Assign work effectively to drive efficiency and ownership; hold yourself and teams accountable for measurable, high‑quality results. + Advance a psychologically safe, diverse, and equitable workplace; operate with emotional intelligence to navigate complex dynamics. + Model AECOM values — Safeguard, Collaborate, Deliver, Anticipate, Inspire, Dream — in everyday decisions and behaviors. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering in a relevant environmental remediation field AND ten (10) years of experience in a technical environmental remediation discipline with a proven track record in operational leadership OR a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Successful completion of background check and motor vehicle records check. + Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with operational responsibility for managing teams of 30+ professionals. + Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary environmental projects, programs, or operational teams with responsibility for business performance, project delivery, and client satisfaction. + Demonstrated knowledge of the Gulf Coast and South‑Central Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial markets; proven ability to develop client relationships and identify growth opportunities across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas. + Master’s degree preferred. + 15+ years related experience, including 8+ years operations and staff management. + Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or Geologist (PG). **Additional Information** At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously. **_To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment._** Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
