    We are looking for candidates with professionalism and comfortability working safely outside. An ideal candidate for Summit Remediation values accountability and has scouting, former-military, hazardous waste, transportation, construction, drilling, or landscaping experience.
     

    Remediation Technician Responsibilities

    • Provide labor and mechanical support to remediation crew
    • Installation of safety support zone equipment and signage
    • Installation of erosion and sediment control materials
    • Ensure safety, compliance, and quality regulations are followed
    • Communicate with superintendent and lead technicians
      • Provide attentive support to crew with openness to learn new skills and technologies

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
    • Construction, Environmental Construction / Remediation, Drilling, and or other applicable experience.
    • The following years of experience:
      • Technician: 0-3+ years of construction experience or laboring with preference for specialized equipment use.
      • Foreman: 7+ years of construction site management experience and specialized equipment use.
      • Superintendent: 10+ years of construction site management experience and specialized equipment use as well as experience with Health & Safety program implementation and client-facing communication.
    • Additional desired areas of experience for Construction Technician, Foreman, and Superintendent includes:
      • Safety compliance and proactive mindset
      • Successful leadership of previous project work
      • Change order and documentation management experience
      • Good communication skills
    • Ability to pass a background and drug test (THC included)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • TWIC card holder preferred.
    • The following safety training is preferred, but not mandatory. [Summit will provide additional training, as necessary.]
      • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
      • Competent Person Safety Training
      • 8-Hour Supervisory Training
      • 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
      • First Aid and CPR

    Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred for Foreman and Superintendent positions. Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, and Senior Heavy Equipment Operator candidates should also inquire with the hiring team.
     

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    This role may require lifting up to 50 pounds where mechanical means are not available, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Work conditions and demands may vary, with controlled interaction with heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather. Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots, is provided. Effective communication, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
