Job Description

West Sound Workforce is assisting an established residential remodeling contractor located in Poulsbo in their search for a Remodel Carpenter. This award-winning local firm specializes in residential remodeling and additions, with a focus on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering projects that blend seamlessly with existing homes.

Reporting to the Lead Carpenter/Project Manager, this role is a hands-on field position supporting active remodel projects from start to finish. The Remodel Carpenter will work both independently and alongside a crew depending on the phase of the job, contributing to day-to-day carpentry tasks, site preparation, and general production work while helping keep projects moving forward smoothly and safely.

Shift information:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 32-40 hours/week
What you will do:
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks on residential remodeling and addition projects, including framing, trim installation, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other interior finishes
  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and work orders to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Work independently or alongside a crew to support projects through various phases of construction while maintaining quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Assist with site preparation, material handling, demolition, and job site organization to ensure projects remain safe, clean, and productive
  • Communicate effectively with project leaders, subcontractors, and team members to help keep projects on schedule and address job site needs as they arise
What we are looking for:
  • Three (3) or more years of residential construction, remodeling, or carpentry experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications
  • Possess and maintain a reliable set of hand and power tools appropriate for residential remodeling work
  • Valid WA driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel between job sites throughout Kitsap County and surrounding areas
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating reliability, maintaining quality workmanship, and safely performing the physical demands of residential construction
