This position can be remote or based at any Collins domestic location.Key ResponsibilitiesAI Software Development: Design and implement large-scale AI software with robust, readable, and scalable code.AI Applications and Models: Support the development of AI applications, focusing on foundational models and algorithms.Model Lifecycle: Design, evaluate, deploy, and maintain AI/ML models and solutions, providing production support for current and future models.Problem Solving: Tackle medium to complex problems, thriving even in uncertain situations.Rapid Delivery: Work efficiently in an environment focused on quick, thorough product delivery.Code Reviews and Documentation: Participate in code reviews and create documentation to ensure projects meet requirements.AI Literacy: Support initiatives to improve company-wide AI literacy.Learning and DevelopmentGlobal Collaboration: Build relationships with DT peers worldwide.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand program needs and challenges, and support solution deployment.QualificationsWork Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.Education and Experience: University Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree, or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.Technical Skills: Expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and programming in Python.Preferred SkillsModel Development: Experience in developing and training models for Computer Vision, Conversational AI, NLP, Decision Support, and more.AI Research and Innovation: Knowledge of AI research, theory, and innovation.Development Tools: Proficiency with AWS, Python, Linux, Ubuntu, Pandas, NumPy, Bash, Conda, pip, VS Code, Spyder, Git + GitHub, Databases, TensorFlow, GPU's, and REST APIs.Microservice Architecture: Understanding of software as part of a larger microservice architecture.Software Development Lifecycle: Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes (CI/CD), testing, and delivery.LLMs and Generative AI: Experience with state-of-the-art LLMs and Generative AI methodologies.Development Process: Familiarity with software/systems engineering, MLOps, technical design, data administration, code optimization, devops, and data analysis.Why Collins Aerospace?Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in advanced solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
