Job Description
The Associate Director of Advertising, Retail Media is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and performance of retail media programs for a portfolio of brand partners. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise across Amazon and other major retail media platforms, ensuring campaigns align with client objectives and deliver measurable business results. As a trusted advisor to clients, you'll develop integrated media strategies, oversee campaign execution, optimize performance, manage budgets, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations. You'll also mentor team members, improve internal processes, and contribute to continued growth as a leader in retail media and ecommerce advertising.

- Develop and lead retail media strategies across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and other retail media networks.
- Build comprehensive media plans aligned with client business objectives, budgets, and growth goals.
- Oversee campaign execution, optimization, pacing, and budget management to maximize performance.
- Analyze campaign data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and deliver strategic recommendations.
- Present performance insights and business results to clients through clear, data-driven reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor for clients, helping them navigate evolving retail media opportunities.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency and client success.
- Stay current on retail media trends, platform innovations, and industry best practices while contributing thought leadership across the organization.
- 7+ years of experience in retail media, ecommerce advertising, digital marketing, or performance marketing.
- Deep expertise managing advertising across Amazon and Google Ads and experience with Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or other major retail media platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Pacvue is preferred, including campaign management, bid optimization, reporting, budget management, and performance analysis.
- Agency, brand-side, or retail media experience is preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong client management and strategic consulting skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Experience managing campaign budgets, forecasting performance, and optimizing media investments.
- Proficiency with advertising platforms, analytics tools, reporting dashboards, and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with confidence communicating recommendations to executive stakeholders.
